3 Healthy Smoothies And Juices
If there is a ‘Most Popular New Year’s Resolution’ award, then it would definitely go to the old ‘get healthy’, our frenemy who sticks with us for about 5 days after January 1st. So this year, why not show it who’s boss and start your days off with some super healthy (and delicious) smoothies and juices that will kick-start you in the mornings and leave you feeling refreshed and full!
Superfoods really are super, aren’t they? This smoothie is packed full of antioxidants and vitamins and, as a bonus, it’s comes out pink!
1 ½ cups of frozen blueberries
1 cup of dairy substitute (soy, coconut, hazelnut or almond milk)
2 pitted medjool dates
1 tablespoon of raw cacao nibs or powder
¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
Whizz them all up in a blender, like the Breville Blend Active Sports Bottle Blender (£24.99), and serve in the sports bottle included. The Blend Active is perfect for those who are in a hurry in the mornings. Just blend and go!
Don’t be scared by the ingredients in this juice, it still packs an amazing flavour punch and is perfect for the morning to give you a big energy jolt for the day!
2 medium beetroots
1 large apple
1 thumb sized piece of ginger
Juice each piece of the fruit and veg and stir well to combine. The Stellar Juicer Machine (on sale now for £56.00) makes juicing easy as there’s no need to chop, peel or core anything, as the extra large feeder tube swallows fruit and veg whole! A brilliant way to get your 5-a-day!
We admit, green smoothies can be a little intimidating, but this one tastes great and is chock full of vitamins and nutritional value to give you a big spring in your step!
1 frozen peeled banana
1 cup diced pineapple
1 medium mango
2 cups of spinach
1 tablespoon of ground flax seed

½ cup water
Once again, chuck em’ all in and blend away! The Tower Vitablend Pro (on sale now for £55.99) is perfect for this type of smoothie as it’s powerful 1200-watt motor bursts through seeds and stems quickly and effortlessly!
